Have you “washed anyone’s feet” today?

“Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another's feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. I tell you the truth, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them. [John 13:14-17]
Jesus teaches us by example to take care of one another. How have you acted as a disciple today?

What did God teach you today?

"Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.” [Exodus 20:8]

Sunday is our day of rest, but sometimes we can learn the most about our lives in our “state of relaxation.” On this blessed day that our Lord has made, what did God teach you?

Listen and Breathe - How did God Speak to you?

And with that he breathed on them and said, "Receive the Holy Spirit." John 20:22 (NIV)

Spend a few minutes with God. Listen and watch the first video clip above. As you listen, just breathe. Did you hear God speak to you? Did he put something on your mind or in your heart?

In what area are you feeling alone today?

“The LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him." [Genesis 2:18]

You are not alone! You are never alone! We were not created to be alone. Are you walking alone in some area of your life? How can you enter into a deeper community with those around you?

What would change in your life, if you lived every moment like “God had a plan”?

”Many, O LORD my God, are the wonders you have done. The things you planned for us no one can recount to you; were I to speak and tell of them, they would be too many to declare.” [Psalm 40:5]

How many days and moments go by that we do not truly appreciate? What if we let all the stress go, and remember this passage? Are there things you can change in your life to truly live - believing with all your heart in God’s Plan for you and the world?

What do you need to let God take control of in your life?

“This is the account of the heavens and the earth when they were created. When the LORD God made the earth and the heavens- and no shrub of the field had yet appeared on the earth and no plant of the field had yet sprung up, for the LORD God had not sent rain on the earth and there was no man to work the ground, but streams came up from the earth and watered the whole surface of the ground- [Genesis 2:4-6]

What or where in your life are you striving to maintain control in your own strength? How is that going? How might you relinquish that again to God, and let Him take control?

How have you shared your faith today?

I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ. [Philemon 1:6]

Everyday we have the opportunity to grow in faith, and share the love that we have through our God. Maybe he teaches us something through a friend. And some days he give us the opportunity to share what we have learned in our walk of faith with someone special. How have you shared your faith today?

When you are discouraged, what does it mean to you to be God’s beloved child?

“Therefore, say to the people of Israel: ‘I am the Lord. I will free you from your oppression and will rescue you from your slavery in Egypt. I will redeem you with a powerful arm and great acts of judgment. 7 I will claim you as my own people, and I will be your God. Then you will know that I am the Lord your God who has freed you from your oppression in Egypt. [Exodus 6:6-7 (NLT)]

“Are you discouraged or burdened today? God is the Sustainer of life…He has promised freedom, redemption, and relationship for those who seek after Him. When you are discouraged, what does it mean to you to be God’s beloved child?

What is on your mind and in your heat today?

"This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time," declares the LORD. "I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.” [Jeremiah 31:33]

By God’s design, the life and love that God offers is available to all, for it is written deep within us. Search your heat and reflect on the life and love of God that is written inside you. What is on your mind and in your heart today? Have you talked to God about it?

God, thank you for ...

Genesis 1 says, “God is the Creator of life... creator of everything that is.” His activity is visible in every aspect of nature. Think about God’s creations, and which ones you enjoy. What creation are you most thankful for today?

What are some examples of “bearing much fruit” (or amazing God-made moments) that you have experienced on your journey with Jesus?

“Abide in me as I abide in you. Just as the branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in me. I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing." [John 15: 5]

Amazing God-made moments, is my simple way of saying – WOW GOD! Apart from God you can do nothing, which leads to the other side of the story, the amazing things you CAN do with God! So tell us - What are some examples of “bearing much fruit” (or amazing God-made moments) that you have experienced on your journey with Jesus? And if you haven't yet joined in this most exciting journey, please do – Join us!

How did (or will) you demonstrate this kind of love today?

I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." [John 13:34-35]
How simple is that – just love one another! But sometimes we get so busy with our day-to-day activities that we fail to specifically show people that we love them. So today, pick someone and show them that you love them, and that you are a disciple of God. Just a simple act will do. Tell your spouse how proud of them you are; spend some time playing a game with your kids; or buy your friend a coffee and sit and chat with them. Concentrate on what it really means to be a disciple.
So tell us - How did (or will) you demonstrate this kind of love today?

How do you love someone who acts hatefully toward you?

He answered: ‘Love your God with all your heart and all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind; and, Love your neighbor as yourself.”’ [Luke 10:27]
Relationships are so important in life. No matter what we do, our days involve some sort of interaction with other people. We can go a whole day communicating pleasantly with others, but in one little moment a disagreement can occur. Life is easy when everyone is nice and polite, but what happens when they are not?
So tell us - How do you love someone who acts hatefully toward you?

How do you strive to reach Life Balance?

“Then Jesus said, “Let’s go off by ourselves to a quiet place and rest awhile.” [Mark 6:31]
Part of Life Balance is leaning that we need to rest. This scripture verse appeared in our signpost open worship this week. Sometimes just getting away for a few minutes in the middle of a stressful day is just what we need to tackle that stress. If the stress of the day has you in a tizzy, try stepping a way for a 5 mins. Take a breather, and say this verse to yourself. Than ask God to help you through your tough situation. Then go! You will be calm and ready to tackle that stress the best you can. Remember you have God in you corner!
So tell us – How do you strive to reach Life Balance?
